Cupcakes Galore

This last week I did a cupcake demo/teaching/free for all, for our church group of women. It was a lot of fun to practice some cupcake ideas and it was a lot of fun to see what the other women came up with.
Also, there was another lady there demoing cake pops. I found a SUPER cute idea for elmo cake pops...my son LOVES elmo...I think I might have to make some this weekend :)
And on another note, Today my kitchen has turned into a wedding cake construction zone...so stay tuned for pictures of a (hopefully) beautiful wedding cake.

USMC Cake

Looking around my house, I am not only surrounded by boys, but I am also surrounded by camouflage! It is every where! On shoes, on clothes, on jackets, on backpacks...you name it, it is camo. So today I made a camo cake. Simper Fi Marines, Simper Fi!

Snowman at Night

I made this cake for a little girl who wanted snowman and stars...so we called it snowman at night (that is such a fun book!) It was a chocolate cake with Strawberry cream cheese filling.
It was a fun cake to do and once again, I learned a lot!

Polka Dots

For my class on Saturday I had to demo how to level, fill, and frost a cake. When I came home I decided to add a little decoration to it before we cut into. I went with the simple polka dot theme.

Superhero cake

This is a cake I made last weekend. The only thing the little boy carried about was that is was superhero. Superman and Batman were two of his favorites, so that is what I went with! The cake was chocolate and the filling was strawberry! Hope he was happy!

Buzz Lightyear Cake

With a new baby due any day, we planned a very simple Birthday party and cake for Pack this year. Lately he has been in LOVE with Buzz. So I searched around for some simple and easy ideas and found this perfect cake for him. The planet was vanilla cake, the cupcakes were chocolate. He loved it. P.S. Don't mind the cheesy smile!

The cake took me less then an hour to make (perfect for a 9 month along pregnant lady!)

There were more craters, but buzz's legs were blocking them...should have taken a better picture at a different angle.

Pirate's Be Comin'

Here are two little cakes I made for a Birthday Party order. It was for a 4 year old boy who wanted a pirate cake. I thought up some ideas, and this is the option they picked. It was so fun to do and I hope the Birthday Boy loved them!
